Dental Bridge Preston

A dental bridge replaces one or more missing teeth. As the name suggests, a bridge requires support from a tooth or teeth next to the gap.

A dental bridge is a simple and effective solution as a fixed replacement for missing teeth.

Bridges can be made to match the appearance of your existing natural teeth to improve eating, restore your confidence when speaking and give you a happy smile.

Is a dental bridge right for me?

A dental bridge relies on the strength and integrity of a neighbouring healthy teeth.  If you already have had dental work or gum problems, your dentist may need to consider other treatment options.

What is the procedure for a dental bridge?

If a dental bridge is right for you, the treatment is usually completed over two appointments. The dentist will prepare the supporting teeth.

Your dentist will then take impressions or scans of your teeth, allowing the dental laboratory to create a custom-made replacement tooth. There is a selection of materials but most patients choose ceramics such as porcelain, zirconia or emax for their life-like appearance.

On your return visit, your permanent bridge will be fitted in place.
